Surplus Timber – City of Buena Vista, VA

The City of Buena Vista is offering surplus timber for sale through an online auction. This material consists of logs cut during Dominion Power line installation projects.

This auction presents an excellent opportunity for logging contractors, mills, and buyers interested in acquiring usable timber.

Material Details:
Downed and cut logs located at designated sites
Timber generated from power line right-of-way clearing

Buyer Responsibilities:
Removal of all purchased logs from the site
Cleanup of affected areas
Regrading and replanting grass in locations disturbed during removal and loading operations

All bidding will take place online through the auction platform. Interested parties are encouraged to inspect the site and material prior to placing bids.

Note: All removal and restoration work must be completed within the timeframe specified by the City. The buyer also agrees that, the City Of Buena Vista will not be held liable for any injuries that may occur on city property. Please do your due diligence prior to bidding. Logs can be viewed at the Glen Maury Park location between park office and double decker.

PAYMENT

If you are the winning bidder, you will facilitate payment by referring to the My Bids section of your account.

SALES TAX

Entfernung

Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale 'AS IS, WHERE IS.' Buena Vista Public Works, VA makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
