This donation opportunity supports the beneficial use of city-owned equipment by educational and nonprofit institutions serving New York City communities.

Eligibility & Application Process Eligible organizations include:
• Public schools
• Public libraries
• Educational institutions
• Nonprofit organizations serving individuals with disabilities, seniors, or low-income communities
To apply, eligible organizations must submit a completed DCAS Surplus Equipment Donation Application within 14 calendar days of this posting. The plan must demonstrate intended beneficial use in alignment with public service goals.
Important Notes
• Donations are at no cost, but recipients are responsible for prompt pickup, handling and transportation
• Equipment will be donated based on evaluation criteria contingent upon the information provided in the online submission
• If multiple applications are received, public schools and libraries are given top priority

SALES TAX
When applicable, sales tax is calculated based upon the auction’s advertised location.If you are seeking sales tax exemption, you must complete Liquidity Services’ tax exemption form(s). The buyer must handle all aspects of item removal, including packing, loading, and transportation. Note: Shipping is NOT available. Removal is by appointment only. Arrangements are made by email only. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days of auction closure, unless otherwise specified. Failure to remove items within this timeframe may result in the items being declared abandoned.
At the time of pick-up, the buyer must present a valid photo ID and a copy of the Buyer’s Certificate or Bill of Sale. If a third party is picking up the item(s) on the buyer's behalf, they must provide a completed and signed Authorization of Release form, along with a valid photo ID and a copy of the Buyer’s Certificate or Bill of Sale. Please contact the seller in advance to confirm required documents and schedule your appointment.
