The vehicle remained in active service until it was retired and was operational at the time of retirement.

The tanker remained in service until it was retired and is believed to be operational. There are no known major mechanical issues or leaks beyond normal wear associated with a vehicle of its age. The department is the original owner. The tires appear serviceable; however, their age and condition should be independently evaluated. The vehicle has not undergone a recent DOT inspection, as fire department emergency vehicles are not subject to routine DOT inspection requirements in Ohio. The tanker may be driven following purchase, but it is being sold as-is, with no guarantees regarding roadworthiness. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.
