It was not restricted and that was allowing the general public to bid and possibly win the auction. We had to actually put it in the Restricted Section. This will likely work out in your favor since it will disallow the general public from running up the bids during the last ten minutes. 06/24/2026 11:10:24 AM
Govdeals needs to do a better job explaining the restrictions. Law enforcement only means only an account which is approved as buying for an agency can bid. Not many departments are looking for an 11 year old Tahoe with old equipment. That restricts anyone who is current law enforcement or fire from bidding. Now a low budget volunteer fire department or Texas peace officer who needs a vehicle for off duty extra jobs would be the perfect candidate for this, but the restriction won’t let that happen. The Police and Fire departments restriction means the auction is open to public but will require the buyer to present credentials or proof of current license by whatever fire/ems or police agency. This is the standard restriction used when an agency or city is selling upfitted vehicles. Since the bid for this may be severely restricted, it may bring a very low price 06/25/2026 22:18:13 PM

Removal is by appointment only. All items must be picked-up / removed within 10 (ten) business days from auction closure, unless otherwise stated in the asset description. If any item(s) is not removed within the allotted timeframe, the item(s) may be declared abandoned.
At the time of pick-up / removal, you will be required to present the seller with a copy of your Buyer’s Certificate and/or bill of sale, and potentially other documentation (e.g., copy of driver's license, Authorization of Release, etc).
