Buyer must remove the asset within 10 business days of Buyer’s Certificate. Please present your Buyer's Certificate to a staff member, Chief, Shop Superintendent, or designee where the asset is located during pickup. A copy of the Bill of Sale will be printed for the Buyer to sign upon removal.

Call Rodney Hunt at (240) 876-4627 at EMTOC to schedule a pick-up appointment. Equipment must be removed between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM | Monday - Friday and is by appointment only. Pick-up appointment must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. The County requests at least 1-day notice so the equipment can be made accessible for removal.

Buyer will be solely responsible for removal of equipment. Equipment is sold as-is, where- is. Please review the Indemnification provision #8 in the Terms and Conditions of Sale. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to be knowledgeable of condition and operability and to remove using Buyer’s resources.

Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of their item. This includes the use of proper tools and the right vehicle to accommodate the size and weight of the item. We may assist with loading after the buyer completes a Loading/Forklift Assistance Waiver form.

The County reserves the right to withhold loading and removal assistance if in the County's opinion damage may occur due to unsafe or questionable conditions. In this event, the Buyer may be given an extension of up to five (5) business days to allow time for the Buyer to make other loading and removal arrangements, independent of the Seller.

Guaranty Waiver: All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” Montgomery County makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
