dear seller, is it possible to rescind my bid, i took a chance and bidded on this item, for my church's woodworking shop, before i thoroughly read the description stating that it was scrap and non functional? i am making this request, because i am not sure what else to do/or who to ask about this mistake of mines. also i do not desire to have our church's auction bidding account locked or block from future bidding. if you can rescind my bid that would be wonderful, if not then please instruct me on what you would have me to do, thank you for your forthcoming assistance, cordially, dr lyndon jones. 06/02/2026 12:34:15 PM
Good afternoon Mr. Jones. After connecting with our representative from Govdeals, I received the following response: We cannot rescind a bid. That’s not how auctions work. We are a publicly traded company, and all things must be transparent. The only thing we can hope for is he is outbid by another bidder. There is still a lot of time left on the auction, so it should be fine. He is the only bidder so far, I’m sure there will be others. The buyer is responsible for all aspects of pick-up / removal, including but not limited to packing, loading, transportation and exporting. Note: Shipping is NOT available.
Removal is by appointment only. All items must be picked-up / removed within 10 (ten) business days from auction closure, unless otherwise stated in the asset description. If any item(s) is not removed within the allotted timeframe, the item(s) may be declared abandoned.
At the time of pick-up / removal, you will be required to present the seller with a copy of your Buyer’s Certificate and/or bill of sale, and potentially other documentation (e.g., copy of driver's license, Authorization of Release, etc). When making a removal appointment, please confirm with the seller what is needed to release the item(s).
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate
