The DC4sx uses thermal transfer technology. This is a dry transfer printing process
that uses heat and pressure to create a durable bond with the resin-based inks and
the media. The resin inks are supplied on ribbons containing densely packed
pigments suspended in a solid plastic carrier. This high pigment density results in
images that are highly abrasion resistant, and it provides a long-term UV and water
resistance with a long outdoor durability without laminations.

What is the condition of the printer? Does it come with ribbons? How old is the printer? Thanks. 04/12/2026 21:35:09 PM
The printer was purchased in 2011 and is in really great shape, I'd say, like new. We have not used it for a couple years; we no longer have a use for it. It comes with some ribbon in it and a few extra boxes. The partial ribbons loaded currently are yellow, black, magenta, green, and blue.
