During our first auction, we restricted these light bars to Law Enforcement buyers only. We have changed how we are handling the second auction.
Please note the Fire/Police restriction banner at the top of this auction, which means bidding is restricted to members of a fire and police agency, and the intended purpose is for official government use only. Upfitting companies / dealers who specialize in police and fire department vehicles are also authorized to bid. Upon placing a bid, we request you send us an email with your credentials and/or a memo on departmental letterhead identifying your affiliation with a fire/police agency or an upfitting/dealer company. If you are the winning buyer, but do not submit your credentials, your sale will be cancelled because these light bars are not being sold to the general public. SALES TAX

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. ITEMS AUCTIONED ARE FOR PICKUP ONLY. PACKAGING AND SHIPPING ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate. For additional information, please see contact below for any questions. Person removing asset must provide copy of Buyers Certificate at time of removal.
The Buyer’s Certificate serves as Proof-of-Purchase and must be presented at the time of item removal.** If using a 3rd-Party agent; Buyer must provide agent with a faxed copy including their signed authorization to release their items. Buyer must notify Seller if using a Third-Party Agent.
Vehicle Titles will be issued at the time of removal.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” (Seller) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final. Goochland County is not responsible for items sold after they have been removed from county property
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
In accordance with Goochland County Code of Ordinances, ARTICLE IX. - ETHICS IN PUBLIC CONTRACTING and ARTICLE V. - DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PROPERTY County employees are not eligible to buy surplus county personal property that is disposed unless such property is disposed of by public auction or other form of competitive sale for an amount not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) or Immediate Family; “immediate family” shall mean a spouse, children, parents, brothers and sisters, and any other person living in the same household as the employee.
