I was just informed by the vendor that did the diagnostics that is DOES NOT NEED A NEW BATTERY. It has a bad "charging unit" that needs to be replaced. The battery is fine. The cost of the new charging unit is $817.00. The labor to install bring the cost to $1500.00

Hello, Interesting pair. Why would the battery packs die out with so few cycles. Were they topped off while stored? 8 years, yes, but so few miles / charging cycles... Not too good / eco-green, huh? Good Morning, Thank you for your questions. No, they were not stored topped off. They sat too long without a charge. (According to the mechanic). They are the Zero DSP ZF13.0. That is correct. I spoke with Santa Maria Motorcycle yesterday and was given corrected information. It is the charging unit. The technician said the battery is fine. I am so sorry for the original misinformation. 06/26/2026 17:00:55 PM
you say the problem is in the charger , no in the battery . now you adding 817.00 plus 1,500 to fix it. basically will be 2.500 to fix it, if the battery is ok . if the battery is no ok ? will be another 1.500 to 3.000 to replaced the battery .total will be around 5.500 to fix it, plus 2250 to purchase and another 250 for delivery . total cost will be around 7,000. will be to much risk to buy this bike . sorry , I cant purchase this bike for 2000. will be better if you delete this auction. and put back when you be shore how much going to cost to fix the bike . 06/26/2026 17:16:39 PM
That is not what I was trying to say. Please don't misconstrue. The battery is fine and does not need to be replaced. The charging unit to charge the battery is defective. The cost of the charging unit is $817. The labor to put in the new charging until will be approximately $700.00 for a total of $1,500.00 to fix the motorcycle and make it fully functional. $2000.00 for the motorcycle, $250.00 for delivery and $1500.00 to fix it brings the total to $3750.00. 06/26/2026 17:24:05 PM
