IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BIDDERS
This equipment was previously used in a medical and/or autopsy setting and is being sold strictly on an “AS IS, WHERE IS” basis, with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied.
The Agency has made reasonable efforts to clean the equipment; however, no representation is made regarding sterilization, decontamination status, condition, functionality, suitability, or fitness for any particular purpose. All risk associated with prior use and current condition is assumed solely by the purchaser.
The successful bidder is solely responsible for all inspection, evaluation, disconnection, removal, transportation, and any other work required for removal of the equipment.
No labor, tools, equipment, or assistance of any kind will be provided by the Agency.
As a condition of sale and prior to removal, the successful bidder will be required to sign a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement without exception.
The successful bidder must also provide, prior to removal, proof of valid General Liability Insurance and Workers’ Compensation Insurance in amounts of $1 million. The Certificate of Insurance must name:

Subcontractors:
Any subcontractors utilized by the successful bidder to perform work on the property shall maintain Commercial General Liability insurance with limits of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, $1,000,000 general aggregate, $1,000,000 products/completed operations aggregate, and $1,000,000 personal injury and advertising injury coverage. The Owner shall be named as an Additional Insured on all subcontractors’ Commercial General Liability policies. The successful bidder is solely responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors comply with these insurance requirements.
Failure to execute the required Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, provide acceptable proof of insurance, submit payment within the required timeframe, or remove the equipment within the prescribed period may result in cancellation of the sale and forfeiture of the item, at the Agency’s discretion.
Payment must be received within five (5) business days of auction close. Removal must be completed within ten (10) business days of auction close unless otherwise approved in writing by the Agency.
By submitting a bid, bidders acknowledge that they have inspected the property or have waived inspection, understand the condition and nature of the equipment, and agree to all terms and conditions set forth herein and in the auction listing.
Holiday Notice: Friday, July 3rd is a Parish holiday. Staff will be unavailable to assist with inquiries.
