Description

Copilot tells us:
A Gorman‑Rupp 13A2‑ALNED SG (often written 13A2‑AENLD S/G) is an industrial pump—specifically a:
✅ Self‑priming centrifugal pump (engine‑driven)
What it is

Part of Gorman‑Rupp’s 10 Series pump line
A self‑priming centrifugal pump designed for moving liquids
Typically engine‑driven (gasoline or diesel powered skid unit) [grpumps.com]

What it does

Pumps water or process liquids, including fluids that contain solids or debris
Designed to handle entrained solids and air, making it useful in dirty or mixed fluids [manualslib.com], [grpumps.com]

Key characteristics

Size: ~3" suction × 3" discharge [grpumps.com]
Type: Centrifugal, self‑priming
Impeller: Semi‑open (good for solids handling) [manualslib.com]
Solids handling: roughly up to 1.5–2 in. diameter (depends on exact variant) [grpumps.com], [grpumps.com]
Construction: Typically cast iron casing with ductile iron internals [grpumps.com]

What “self‑priming” means
Unlike standard centrifugal pumps, this model:

Can remove air from the suction line
Doesn’t need to be manually primed every time
Ideal for suction lift applications (pulling liquid from pits, tanks, etc.)

Common applications
You’ll usually find this pump used for:

Dewatering (construction, mining, pits)
Wastewater / sewage transfer
Industrial fluid transfer
Agriculture / irrigation

Breaking down the model code

13A2 → Pump size/series (10 Series, 3" pump class)
AENLD / ALNED → Specific configuration (materials, seal, engine mount, etc.)
S/G (SG) → Typically indicates engine‑driven skid or set (pump + engine package)

✅ Simple explanation:
It’s a rugged, portable-style industrial pump used to move dirty water or liquids with solids, commonly powered by a gas or diesel engine.
