This truck served as an animal control vehicle for our municipality. It was removed from service in October 2025. When the unit was started in April 2026 to be checked over prior to auctions, the engine started cranked, fired, immediately stalled and would not crank again.
Subsequent inspections discovered that Cylinder #2's piston is badly cracked and the top compression ring is visible via borescope. We found that the engine can be rocked back and forth approximately 90 degrees and a metal-on-metal sound is present from the oil pan area at each end of the 90 degrees.
This truck is being sold in as-is condition. *Prior to the engine failure,* the truck started, ran, and drove normally. The transmission and transfer case are in good condition with no noted issues. Floor-mounted t-case shifter.
The truck is rusty, with patched rust holes through one area of the floorboards and rusty sections of frame, though we did have the vehicle on a two-post hoist recently without issues. See photos.
The truck's topper is included with the sale and will remain on the truck.
Loading this unit will be the responsibility of the Buyer - a trailer will be necessary and a winch recommended.
