1977 Chevrolet Caprice
This vehicle starts, runs, and drives. It is being sold on behalf of the Police Department as a confiscated vehicle. The title has been transferred to the City of Council Bluffs and is a clean title. The vehicle can be registered the same as if it were purchased from a private seller.
Because this vehicle was confiscated, we do not know its history or maintenance background. Based on a visual inspection, the transmission is leaking, particularly from the speedometer cable. The oil pan is pretty wet, and the frost plug may also be leaking. The A/C belt is missing, and the compressor appears to be seized. The cruise control cable is not connected.
Otherwise, the vehicle appears to be in very nice condition. The body panels appear straight, and the doors, hood, and trunk all align nicely. The tires have a date code from 2020.
