DESCRIPTION
• This auction consists of Pair of Flat Grills, hereafter referred to as “the asset”.
• The asset is located on grounds at our facility, the Department of State Hospitals – Patton (hereafter referred to as DSH-P).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Does it require maintenance? Unknown. I am not an expert in the use of this equipment. However, one of the grills was left with an “Out of Order” Sign.
• What was the issue that made it unusable? A new kitchen was built creating a surplus of kitchen equipment.
• How long has the item been non-operational? At least 4 years.
• What are the measurements? Individual Grill itself 60Lx 30D x 14H, Together (they are connected, with bars and extra finishings) 136L x 34D x 38.5H.
• Additional Information: The feet on the grills have a small piece that is set in a small hole in the tile. Making it a little harder for removal. Also, the grills are mounted together.
• List of specifications is attached. It includes manufacturer, model, serial number, purchase date, purchase price, operational status.
STIPULATIONS
• Once posted online, all DSH-P assets are made available to other government entities on a first-come, first-served basis. State departments are required to put the needs of other government entities over the benefit of the sale of state-owned property. If a government entity requests transfer of this item, this item will be withdrawn from auction immediately. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
• Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit DSH-P to inspect and determine the condition of the asset prior to bidding.
• Inspections and pick-up are by appointment only; please allow at least 24 hours in advance unless other arrangements are made with the Site Contact.
• Sold AS is, WHERE is. For liability purposes, the winning bidder will be required to remove the asset from its current location, as it will legally be their property.
• Under no circumstances will DSH-P assist in or assume responsibility for loading.
• NOTE: DSH-P IS IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR PACKING OR SHIPMENT OF THESE ITEMS. IF YOU MUST ACQUIRE FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION, PLEASE RESEARCH AVAILABILITY, RATES AND COMPANIES THOROUGHLY PRIOR TO BIDDING.
• The winning bidder of the asset must pick-up the asset at the address and location agreed upon between bidder and Site Contact
• The asset must be picked up no later than 10 business days after payment for the asset is complete.
• Pick-up of items is made by appointment only. Any items not picked up by the agreed-upon date will be subject to forfeit. Please keep this in mind when bidding.

SALES TAX

Removal
Purchased property can be picked up or shipped, unless otherwise indicated in item description.
All property MUST be removed within 10 (ten) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 5 business days allowed
For all property purchased, buyer must send email to ContactSPR@dgs.ca.gov with Buyer’s Certificate attached and the asset and inventory IDs in the email subject line. Indicate in the email the method that the purchase will be removed.
Property may be picked in person Monday through Friday between 8am to 2:30pm at our warehouse in Natomas, CA. APPOINTMENT IS NEEDED. Email ContactSPR@dgs.ca.gov to set up an appointment. Buyer must show ID to match transaction in Gov Deals. If another person will be picking up the item, email ContactSPR@dgs.ca.gov to receive an Authorization Release form to authorize someone else to pick up.
Property may be shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. If UPS or FedEx is chosen, the buyer is responsible for creating/sending a shipping label and scheduling a pickup date/time as these couriers do not come to our facility daily.
For oversized/heavy property buyer can arrange for a freight carrier. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. For purchases being shipped using a freight carrier, the buyer must email a Bill of Lading with the Asset ID number and Inventory ID# referenced.
Special Instructions
Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale 'AS IS, WHERE IS.' State of California, Office of Fleet and Asset Management makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
Diesel Trucks & Buses:
An on-road heavy-duty diesel or alternative-diesel vehicle operated in California may be subject to the California Air Resources Board Regulation to Reduce Particulate Matter and Criteria Pollutant Emissions from In-Use Heavy-Duty Diesel Vehicles. It, therefore, could be subject to exhaust retrofit or accelerated turnover requirements to reduce emissions of air pollutants. All Passenger Vehicles:
This agency does NOT provide SMOG CERTIFICATION or EMISSIONS RETROFIT. All smog related repairs and certifications for vehicles are the sole responsibility of the buyer as outlined in California Vehicle Code, Division 12, Section 24007.5.
Heavy Equipment:
TITLE 13 CALIFORNIA CODE DISCLOSURE OF REGULATION APPLICABILITY: WHEN OPERATED IN CALIFORNIA ANY OFF-ROAD DIESEL VEHICLE MAY BE SUBJECT TO THE CALIFORNIA AIR RESOURCES BOARD IN-USE OFF-ROAD DIESEL VEHICLE REGULATION. IT THEREFORE COULD BE SUBJECT TO RETROFIT OR ACCELERATED TURNOVER REQUIREMENTS TO REDUCE EMISSIONS OF AIR POLLUTANTS.
