An independent condition and valuation survey conducted June 5, 2026 estimated the vessel’s fair-market value to be $350,000 and rated its overall condition “fair to good” subject to Sabine Surveyors Ltd. conditions. The complete survey and photographs are provided with this listing and should be reviewed by all bidders.

MATERIAL DISCLOSURES
Notable conditions include:
- Vessel is not currently classed. ABS classification was canceled following port tail-shaft repairs not completed in accordance with ABS rules.
- No recent ultrasonic thickness-gauging documentation available. A 2021 thickness survey identified significant bottom-plating thickness reductions in isolated areas.
- Forward boom crane is out of service and out of certification.
- Refrigerated storage and galley deep fryer are inoperative.
- Marine sanitation device reportedly does not operate in automatic mode.
- Two 25-person inflatable life rafts had been removed for inspection at survey.
- Machinery, cranes, winches, tanks and void spaces were not fully tested or internally inspected during the appraisal.

INSPECTION & REMOVAL
Inspection is strongly encouraged and available by appointment. Buyers are responsible for any cost associated, including but not limited to, surveyors, engineers and other professional services. NO destructive testing, machinery operation, underwater inspection, diving or sea trial is permitted without prior written authorization.
The successful bidder must remove the vessel from the College dock no later than November 15, 2026. Damage during removal is buyer sole responsibility and CFCC will not be held liable. The buyer assumes all risks and costs associated with possession, removal, towing, operation, permits, regulatory compliance, repair, storage, insurance, future use and any other administrative requirement not listed herein.
No representation is made regarding seaworthiness, operability, classification, certification, regulatory compliance, merchantability, fitness for purpose, or ability to sail, tow, operate, register, document, insure or enter service.
Submission of bid constitutes acknowledgment of vessel condition, seller’s terms, responsibility for independent inspection, due diligence and timely removal.
Cape Fear Community College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or withdraw the vessel from sale as permitted by law and applicable auction terms.

Removal
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. Bidders will be locked unless a prior arrangement has been made for any item not removed within the ten (10) business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.

Cape Fear Community College, NC makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
