Hello, I’m interested in bidding. The listing says: “Road test. Did not hear any noise” but also “Run unit on rack. Getting noise out of power takeoff unit.” Can you clarify what type of noise was heard on the rack — whine, grinding, clicking, clunking, vibration, humming, or metal-on-metal? Was the suspected source specifically the PTU/power transfer unit, or could it be a wheel bearing, CV axle, driveshaft, front differential, or transmission area? Are there any visible PTU/transmission leaks, warning lights, rough idle, overheating, engine knocking/ticking, drivability problems, or abnormal shifting? The driver stated they heard a noise when driving, the mechanic did not hear a noise on a short test drive but ran it in gear on the hoist and using a stethoscope determined there is a grinding type noise coming from the PTU. Removal
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property.
Seller does not arrange freight pickup or provide freight carrier referrals or quotes. The Buyer should use the location and zip code in the asset listing when obtaining a quote and scheduling the freight company they have contracted. All freight shipping costs are the responsibility of the high bidder. No Assistance will be provided.
If the Buyer hires a freight company to pick up the asset, they need to contact the Seller to schedule pickup date and time. The Buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with removal. GovDeals and the Seller neither endorses nor accepts responsibility or liability for lost shipments, lost profits, damage to the property or any other claims or damages arising from Buyer’s use of the third party freight carrier/ shipper.
A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 6 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.

Kitsap County Public Works, WA makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
