For Auction we have 4 Steelcase Cachet 487 Swivel Base Caster Chairs. The Steelcase Cachet 487 is a non-upholstered work chair known for its lightweight and durable design. It was designed for multi-use settings like conferences and training rooms, and features a unique "BalancedAction Rocker" mechanism for comfort.
Steelcase Cachet 487 Features
BalancedAction Rocker (BAR): This proprietary mechanism distributes the user's weight in response to their movements, allowing the back and seat to recline in harmony. This means the chair provides responsive support without manual adjustment.
Ergonomics: The flexible, slotted seat and back are made from durable glass-filled nylon and polypropylene, which conforms to the user's body and evenly distributes weight.
Durability and sustainability: The chair was designed to be exceptionally durable and easy to clean. It is made from materials that are up to 98% recyclable by weight.
Ease of cleaning: The non-upholstered design makes it easy to wipe down, which is ideal for multi-user environments.
The Chairs wheels roll properly. The Chairs adjust up and down properly. The Chairs rotate 360 degrees. The arms on the Chairs lift up for easy movement. The Chairs distribute seated weight for reclining properly. The Chairs nylon polypropylene seat material is in good condition. Please reference included photos and Chair model number for more details. One of the Chairs has a white residue that should come off with a bit of cleaning. These Chairs are being sold AS IS.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
