For Auction is a Thermo Fisher Sorvall Biofuge Primo R Benchtop Centrifuge. The Thermo Fisher Biofuge Primo R is a compact, refrigerated benchtop centrifuge ideal for use in small medical, biochemistry, molecular biology, and industrial laboratories. It offers high-performance processing with a wide temperature range and flexibility with various rotor options.
Features & Capabilities
Refrigeration: Features a temperature range of -9°C to 40°C.
Max Speed/RCF: Achieves speeds of up to 15,000 rpm (revolutions per minute) and a maximum relative centrifugal force (RCF) of approximately 21,890 x g (dependent on the rotor used).
Capacity: Maximum capacity is 4 x 100 mL with a swinging bucket rotor or 6 x 50 mL with a fixed-angle rotor.
Motor: Equipped with a maintenance-free brushless induction motor that operates quietly at less than 62 dB.
Control: Features a user-friendly EASYcontrol II microprocessor-controlled panel for setting speed, time, and temperature.
Safety: Includes safety features such as a lid lock and interlock and automatic rotor recognition and imbalance detection.
Applications: Suitable for a range of applications, including sedimentation of cells (algae, yeast, bacteria), sample preparation for DNA and protein precipitates, and blood and urine analysis.
The Biofuge Primo Centrifuge was powered on. The Centrifuge has not been tested further than what is documented in the included media. The centrifuge comes with a power cord. The Centrifuge may show cosmetic wear such as scuffs and sticker labels. Please reference the included media and Centrifuge model number for more details. The Thermo Fisher Primo Centrifuge is being sold AS IS.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
