For Auction is an Olympus U-MDOSV Optical Relay Tube and Observation Heads. The Olympus U-MDOSV is an optical relay tube designed as a side-viewing attachment for dual-observation or multi-headed teaching systems on Olympus microscopes.
Specifications and Capabilities
Function: This component acts as an extension to transfer the image from a central pointer unit to a secondary observer positioned to the side of the main microscope. This arrangement facilitates side-by-side viewing, which is beneficial in educational and consultation environments.
Compatibility: It is compatible with Olympus BX series microscopes, including models like the BX41, BX43, BX51, and BX53.
Field of View: The U-MDOSV is designed to support a field of view of F.N. 22.
Accessories: Due to its design extending away from the microscope, a dedicated support stand is typically required for stability and to prevent the unit from causing the microscope to become unbalanced.
The Olympus U-MDOSV Optical Relay Tube has not been tested. The Optical Relay Tube appears to be in good condition. The plastic knob on the stand is broken. we do not know the mode numbers of the Observation Heads. The Observation Heads do not come with eyepieces. The Optical Relay Tube and Observation Heads may show signs of cosmetic wear such as scratches and scuffs. Please reference the included photos and the Olympus Relay Tube model number for more details. The Optical Relay Tube and Observation Heads are being sold AS IS.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
