For Auction is a Dewalt Heavy Duty 7790 12" Radial Arm Saw. The Dewalt 7790 is a 12-inch, contractor-duty radial arm saw manufactured primarily in the 1970s and 1980s. It is highly regarded by woodworkers for its durable cast-iron construction and is often considered the strongest 5/8" arbor saw DeWalt produced.


Specifications
Blade Capacity: 12 inches.
Motor Power: Rated at 1.5 HP (continuous) to 3.5 HP (peak/developed) depending on the specific model type and voltage.
Crosscut Capacity: Up to 16 inches on 3/4-inch stock.
Maximum Depth of Cut: 4 inches (at 90°) without the lower guard, or approximately 3-1/2 to 3-7/8 inches with it.
Arbor Size: 5/8 inch.
Spindle Speed: 3450 RPM.
Weight: Approximately 235 lbs.


Design Features
Cast-Iron Arm: The saw features a heavy-duty cast-iron arm that prevents sagging when extended, ensuring more accurate cuts.
Column Adjustment: Unlike some later models with front-mounted cranks, the 7790 typically has the column height adjustment over the column, which reduces play.
Versatility: While often used today for crosscutting and dados, the 7790 was designed to handle ripping, miters, bevels, and even shaping or sanding with appropriate attachments.
Voltage: It can be wired for either 120V or 240V operation.


The Radial Saw has been not been powered on. We do not have the correct outlet to test it. The Radial Saw comes with what is included in the photos nothing more. The Saw shows signs of cosmetic wear such as scuffs and dust. Please reference the included media and Radial Saw model number for more information. The Dewalt Radial Saw is being sold AS IS. Plastic Pallet is property of the University of Iowa and is not included in the sale.

SALES TAX

Removal

Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.

Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.

All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.

Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.

If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.

If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).

Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED

Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
