For Auction is a Humanscale Diffrient Task Lamp. The Humanscale Diffrient Task Lamp, designed by Niels Diffrient, is an ergonomic lighting solution known for its sleek, minimalist design, ease of adjustment, and energy efficiency. It is constructed primarily of recycled aluminum and designed to provide precise, adjustable illumination to reduce eyestrain and fatigue.
Features and Specifications
Adjustability: Features an articulated arm and a rotating head, providing a wide range of positioning options without the need for friction knobs or rigid joint adjustments, thanks to a perfect internal counterbalance mechanism.
Energy Efficiency: Originally designed to support high-efficiency compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs), which use significantly less energy and produce less heat than incandescent bulbs.
Ergonomics: Engineered to direct light across the workspace rather than toward the user, which helps avoid direct and reflected glare, shadows, and related discomforts.
Material: The light is made primarily from 100% recycled aluminum, which contributes to its light weight and high recycled content (90%).
The Humanscale Double-Arm Fluorescent Task Lamp moves and counter-balances properly. The Height of the Lamp moves up and down properly. The Task Shade Head swivels properly. The Fluorescent Light is broken and will need to be replaced. The Lamp may show cosmetic wear such as scuffs and scratches and sticker residue. Please reference the included photos and Lamp model number for more details. This Lamp is one of two that we have left in our inventory. The Humanscale Diffrient Task Lamp is being sold AS IS.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
