City of Newport News ‘Auction Pick Up Process’ has changed and is different for each pick up location. To shorten your wait time please follow the instructions below for all auction items located at 525 Operations Drive, Newport News, VA 23602
1. Before you arrive:
a. Email vehservices@nnva.gov to set up an appointment
b. Pickup days & times are available Monday –Friday, 7:30am – 3:00pm
2. Please remember to bring the following:
a. A valid Driver’s License or State ID
b. Appropriate auction paperwork
3. When you arrive:
a. Stop at designated pick up area
b. Stay with your vehicle
c. Call 757-269-2400 Option 1

Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate.

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. ITEMS AUCTIONED ARE FOR PICKUP ONLY. PACKAGING AND SHIPPING ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED. .

Person removing asset must provide copy of Buyers Certificate at time of removal.

The Buyer’s Certificate serves as Proof-of-Purchase and must be presented at the time of item removal.** If using a 3rd-Party agent for removal; Buyer must provide agent with a faxed copy including their signed authorization to release their items. Buyer must notify Seller if using a Third-Party Agent.

Vehicle Titles will be issued at the time of removal.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” (Seller) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale.Bid at your own risk. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for incorrect description must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property
