Q & A
Have a question or looking to schedule an appointment?
Why do you need a commercial license and insurance to buy this van? 05/30/2026 13:53:45 PM
Good morning, It's the Region's policy to have all vehicles towed off the Region's property by a licensed tow truck company. The tow truck company provides the auto and CGL liability insurance. Thank you, Andrea 06/01/2026 10:02:39 AM
We would like to see the vehicle. Our son is in a tilt wheelchair and would like to test the ramp in the vehicle to make sure he fits through the door opening. Please text or call me when we could come to Oshawa this week. 519-741-7525 Thank you 06/02/2026 11:44:30 AM
Good afternoon, I have forwarded this question to our Transit Department, who will be in touch with you. Thank you. 06/02/2026 13:25:05 PM
If we are not a commercial business, is this required for a regular individual?? Do we need to make arrangements with our insurance company or is this for the tow truck company to have? "We will require the successful bidder to submit an insurance certificate with Commercial General Liability Insurance ($5,000,000.00) and Owned and Non-Owned Automobile Insurance ($2,000,000.00)." Are we given the ownership information electronically so we can transfer ownership with the DMV and our insurance company before picking up? Would I have to have the $5M insurance liability? Can we pick up the vehicle on a rental U-Haul car trailer and use our own truck to pick up the MV1 vehicle? Please email me back. Contact me if you need any information, Thanks Phyllis Gabourie 06/02/2026 13:01:50 PM
Good afternoon, I will investigate and circle back shortly. Thank you. 06/02/2026 13:26:54 PM
