Description

"People and Places In The Texas Past" contains all the interesting things that usually fall between the cracks of Texas history. Welch's work offers a look at Texas through a collection of memorable and intriguing stories, such as: Theodore Roosevelt's trip to see Jack Abernathy catch wolves with his bare hands; Bigfoot Wallace chasing buffalo down Austin's Congress Avenue; Josiah Wilbarger's living in spite of the loss of his scalp; Fort Worth real estate man Charles Post, Postum, Post Toasties and General Foods; the Houston Ship Channel and many other subjects uniquely and purely Texan.

This AUTHOR SIGNED COPY is in good shape and protected by a laminated library binding. This is a surplus opportunity item that was once part of the Pioneer Memorial Library's "Texas Collection."

Seller will not ship. Must pick up in Fredericksburg, TX.
