This vehicle was a *NARCOTICS SEIZURE* in 2024, by the Germantown Police Department. It has been sitting in impound and is being Sold AS IS \ WHERE IS. It is/was running and being driven at the time of the seizure.
This vehicle was inspected by Germantown Fleet Services. Following a comprehensive inspection and test drive of the vehicle, the necessary and/or recommended repairs are as follows.
-The vehicle has been in at least one previous accident, as evidenced by damage to the rear bumper mounting area. The trunk still closes, locks, and releases, but the rear impact bar is damaged. Recommend replacing the rear impact bar and passenger side mounting horn. This is a safety issue due to occupant safety being compromised in any future rear end collision.
-The vehicle battery tests in the "replace now" range, as well as the positive terminal needs to be replaced due to corrosion damage.
-All 4 tires are in various states of either dry rot or tread depth less than 3/32, and the passenger front tire has impact damage to the sidewall. Size: 215/60R16 94T
-The front brake pads measure less than 3mm. Front pads and rotors need to be replaced. The rear pads measure above 8mm, rear rotors are somewhat rusted, assumed due to being stationary for an extended period of time. This could possibly be "scrubbed off" with time and use, do not recommend replacing rear rotors at this time.
-The front radar "emergency braking" distance sensor is not functioning and causing a warning message. I suspect there is an issue caused by a sub-par collision repair as evidenced by body lines not lining up properly and evidence of a repaint.
-The passenger front turn signal is inoperative. It is probable that the issue is caused by a faulty bulb.
The issues above outline the major safety concerns found during inspection. Subsequently, a few more minor issues were found.
-The key battery is low and the message center recommends replacement of the key battery.
-Recommend oil and filter change, wiper blade replacement and replace cabin air filter due to unknown vehicle history. Engine air filter is okay at this time.
-The power mirror switch does not adjust either side mirror. There is evidence of repaint and subpar collision repair.
-The driver's front fender liner is torn and pieces are missing. Vital components are exposed to possible damage and/or weather intrusion due to this missing piece.
-The vehicle's interior needs to be deep cleaned, due to mold and/or mildew in the seats and along some of the plastics.
Car Fax Report will not be provided on this vehicle by the Germantown Police Department.
