Up for auction by the City of Elyria is a 2008 Ford Explorer Limited 4X4, 3rd Row Seating with 187,120 miles.
The City of Elyria Police Department came in possession of this vehicle March 2025 as the result of an arrest. The vehicle went unclaimed where the Elyria Police Department took possession of the vehicle June 2025 through the Ohio unclaimed and abandoned junk motor vehicle affidavit process. This administrative process converts the clear title to a salvage title. Please know the laws of your state in regards to salvage titled motor vehicles PRIOR to bidding.
The vehicle started with the assistance of a jump pack, then ran as it should. The vehicle shifted in and out of 4 wheel drive in the HI and Low range as it should. This vehicle is equipped with 3rd row seating. Please see attached video and photographs for further description.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate. ALL VEHICLES SOLD BY POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH A SALVAGED TITLE WILL NEED TO BE TOWED OUT FOR REMOVAL
