Location: 1128 US Hwy 84 East, Ludowici, GA 31316 (Long County)
Coordinates: 31°43'17.4"N 81°43'45.8"W
NOTE: Georgia Forestry Commission acquired this fire tower new in 1998. Fire tower is in good condition considering its age with minimal rust visible from ground level. The cab was not accessible for inspection due to bottom sets of stairs being removed; however, the cab appears to be in good condition from ground level. Tower is approximately 100ft tall. Wear/deterioration throughout fire tower appears to be consistent with age and usage. Mechanical issues may exist but are unknown. The fire tower is being sold as-is, where-is. Buyer will be responsible for disassembling and removing the fire tower.
Fire tower is currently located at the Georgia Forestry Commission office in Long County and must be disassembled and relocated by the buyer. This fire tower is easily accessible.
Interested bidders are encouraged to inspect the property prior to bidding. Inspections are by appointment only and must be accompanied by an employee of the Georgia Forestry Commission.
Buyer will have 30 days from the date the bill of sale is issued to disassemble the tower and remove it from the property. State of Georgia employees cannot aid with disassembly and removal of the tower.

• Property must be removed by appointment only. Within the next 24-48 business hours after receiving the Bill of Sale you should receive an invitation to schedule pickup. You will have 5 business days identified by the releasing agency from which to select a date and time for the removal of the items. All items must be removed on the selected date. You will receive an email confirming your scheduled date and time for removal.
• Successful Buyer is responsible for all loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the location indicated in the auction listing. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will the Seller or Georgia State Employees assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping.
• The Buyer is responsible for all damage to Seller’s property and facilities caused during the packing, loading and removal of items. If Seller’s property or facilities are damaged during loading and removal of items, Buyer will not be allowed to complete removal of purchased items until the Seller’s property and facilities have been repaired. If the Buyer does not repair the damaged Seller property and facilities, any payment made by the Buyer will be applied to the repair of Seller property before being applied to the purchase price of any items purchased by Buyer.
• Property not removed on the selected date will be considered abandoned, buyer is declared in default, and ownership shall revert to the Seller. The Seller will only refund according to the default provision.
