Payment

PAYMENT

If you are the winning bidder, you will facilitate payment by referring to the My Bids section of your account.

Note:

1. Payment is due within 5 (five) business days of auction closure.

2. Any invoice $5,000 or above requires payment via wire transfer.

SALES TAX

When applicable, sales tax is calculated based upon the auction’s advertised location.

If you are seeking sales tax exemption, you must complete Liquidity Services’ tax exemption form(s). We recommend doing this prior to the auction’s closure or before making payment. To do so, please visit Liquidity Services' Tax Exemption Submission Tool.

Removal

Please contact the Seller BEFORE arriving to verify payment has cleared and to schedule the pickup. Buyer must be present at the time of removal to sign the Bill of Sale and provide a copy of your ID. If someone else is picking up the assets on your behalf, you must send us the completed Authorization of Release form, signed copy of the Bill of Sale for each listing and a copy of your ID prior to arrival. If you are using a carrier to transport the items and will not be present at the time of pickup, you must send us the completed Prepaid Label Shipping Waiver form, signed copy of the Bill of Sale for each listing and a copy of your ID prior to arrival. If you want the Seller to assist with loading the assets using a forklift, please send us the completed Loading Assistance Waiver form. All assets must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will Seller assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping. The buyer shall agree to hold harmless, indemnify and defend Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, FL, its agents and employees from any claims for property damage and/or personal injury resulting from the dismantling and removal of the equipment (including death resulting therefrom). Such claims include, but are not limited to, actual, consequential, incidental or punitive damages. Nothing here is to be construed as a waiver by Pinellas County of sovereign immunity per § 768.28, Florida Statutes.

Special Instructions

The buyer shall agree to maintain sufficient comprehensive general liability insurance, naming the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, FL, as additional insured, in the amounts of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence and $1,000,000.00 per person, prior to removal of the item won at auction. Proof of such insurance shall be given to Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, FL, by an appropriate certificate-of-insurance issued by the buyer’s insurance agent prior to the removal of the item won at auction. Further, prior to commencement of work on the project (job), the buyer shall insure that all subcontractors, agents or assigns of the buyer, maintain sufficient comprehensive general liability insurance, naming the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, FL, as additional insured, in the amounts of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence and $1,000,000.00 per person. Proof of such insurance shall be given to Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, FL, by an appropriate certificate-of-insurance issued by applicable entity’s insurance agent. The successful firm shall take out and maintain, during the life of this agreement, workers’ compensation and employer’s liability insurance for all employees to be engaged in services on this project under this agreement in an amount not less than $1,000,000.00, and in case any such services are sublet, the firm shall require all subcontractor(s) also to provide workers’ compensation and employer’s liability insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000.00 for all of the subcontractor’s employees to be engaged in such.
