Kiln was new & installed when LSW was built in 2004 (serial #004014).

Could not run amp or voltage test due to old board, red LED.
Resistances — 11.6, 12.9,11.0
• Red LED, 6 slots
• Lid okay, some screws from arm brace band on back are loose
• Spring from lid lifter is bent, recommend replacing this as it could be dangerous and
makes the lid very heavy for teacher to lift
• Bricks have chips from use and shelves bumping them. Many are splitting down the
middle. Would recommend full kiln replacement before replacing bricks, only if
teacher finds themselves wanting to regularly use more than 1 kiln
• Floor has some large cracks. Not worth repairing due to age of kiln
• Power cord and plug good
• Feeder wires okay, top spade connector #1 is black. Terminal strip is secure so it must
be something different. Replace harness wires and 1 spade connector when replacing
elements and relays next.
• Needs new thermocouple
LSR7 was advised to retire & replace this kiln and vent.

Inspections are permitted Monday - Friday 7:30 am-2:30 pm by appointment only. Email Kelly at kelly.thurber@lsr7.net to schedule an inspection. Conditions of all items are "As-is, where-is, without warranty, and no refund." Removal
Winning bidders may pick up items BY APPOINTMENT Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30am and 2:30pm excluding holidays. All items must be removed within 10 calendar days from the date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will Lee’s Summit R-7 School District assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping. See special instructions on each auction page for removal details. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 calendar days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.
