Surplus SCBA Cylinders
Available for surplus are thirteen MSA SCBA cylinders rated at 2,216 psi. These cylinders were manufactured in 2007 and have exceeded their 15-year service life. Last hydro date for (12) 2020 and for (1) 2017
The cylinders are Luxfer fully wrapped, carbon-fiber-reinforced, aluminum-lined cylinders used with self-contained breathing apparatus. They are part of the LCX, LCX-SL, and LCX-XD cylinder ranges.
Because these cylinders were manufactured in 2007, they reached the end of their approved service life in 2022. Under applicable NFPA and OSHA service-life requirements, they are considered out of service and should not be used for SCBA breathing-air applications.
MSA does not authorize continued SCBA use of these 2007 Luxfer cylinders beyond the original 15-year design life. NIOSH certification also does not cover extended use beyond that service life for these cylinders. These cylinders are being offered as surplus only and should not be placed back into SCBA service unless a valid special life-extension approval applies, which MSA does not recognize for use beyond 15 years.

Removal

The buyer is responsible for all aspects of pick-up / removal, including but not limited to packing, loading, transportation and exporting. Note: Shipping is NOT available.
Removal is by appointment only. All items must be picked-up / removed within 10 (ten) business days from auction closure, unless otherwise stated in the asset description. If any item(s) is not removed within the allotted timeframe, the item(s) may be declared abandoned.
At the time of pick-up / removal, you will be required to present the seller with a copy of your Buyer’s Certificate and/or bill of sale, and potentially other documentation (e.g., copy of driver's license, Authorization of Release, etc). When making a removal appointment, please confirm with the seller what is needed to release the item(s).
