Thank you for your interest! The illuminated check engine light shown in the photo is likely due to the vehicle being in the “on” position without the engine running. When the ignition is on and the engine is not started, it is normal for warning lights—including the check engine light—to appear on the dashboard. The photo was taken to capture and document the odometer reading, which requires the key to be turned on. This can cause the dashboard warning lights to display temporarily.
