SEPTA is seeking to sell the following vehicle as one lot. 2017 Proterra E2 Catalyst 40 Foot Electric Bus. This is not a running vehicle. All Battery Material has been removed due to recalls and safety concerns. This bus is recommended to be used for body replacement and internal parts only. This bus has approximately 10,499 miles and was never put in use for revenue service. The bus has been sitting unused in open yard for 5 years. Front windshield is cracked. Buyer agrees to completely remove any and all trademarks, logos, labels, distinctive markings and designs of SEPTA which may appear on the salvage vehicles at the time of release, or immediately thereafter, unless otherwise agreed to or required by SEPTA in writing. The bus must be removed by flatbed only. Towing of the bus is not acceptable. INSPECTION is highly recommended. Vehicle is being sold “AS IS” so please BID ACCORDINGLY. PA title must be transferred or notarized, and valid proof of insurance is needed (unless you have a Dealer's license) prior to taking vehicle off SEPTA property. Vehicle is located at Our Midvale Bus Depot. 4301 Wissahickon Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19129.

Inspection

Inspections are by appointment only and must be authorized by SEPTA no less than 24 hours in advance, No Exceptions. Inspection appointments times are Tuesday – Thursday, 9am – 1pm (except major holidays). Most item(s) offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable, inspection is highly recommended.

Payment

If you are the winning bidder, you will facilitate payment by referring to the My Bids section of your account.

1. Payment is due within 5 (five) business days of auction closure. If the bidder does not pay within the required 5 business days SEPTA will re-post the auction with no obligation to the bidder.


2. Any invoice $5,000 or above requires payment via wire transfer.

SALES TAX

When applicable, sales tax is calculated based upon the auction’s advertised location.

Removal

All item(s) must be picked up within ten (10) business days from the time and date listed on the Buyer's Certificate. If the item(s) is not picked up within ten (10) business days SEPTA has the right to repost the auction with no obligation to the Buyer. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided unless arrangements are made in advance and approved by SEPTA.

The Buyer or Transport Company is required to notify the SEPTA contact listed on the Buyer Certificate via phone when they are within 30 minutes of the location in order to gain access to the lot. If the Buyer or Transport Company shows up without an appointment they will not receive the Item(s). SEPTA reserves the right to refuse or reschedule any pick-up at no cost to SEPTA.

The Person picking up the Item(s) is required to have a copy of the Bill of Sale and/or Buyer’s Certificate, Photo ID, and valid proof of Insurance (if applicable). For Item(s) that have a title SEPTA will sign and notarize the title to the Purchasers Business Name and Address that is listed on the Buyer’s Certificate.

Special Instructions

NOTICE: If you are the winning bidder and default by failing to adhere to this sellers terms and conditions your account with Liquidity Services WILL BE LOCKED. Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale 'AS IS, WHERE IS.' Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, PA makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final. Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.

PERSONNEL SECURITY MEASURES:

SEPTA reserves the right to impose personnel security measures upon the Buyer and its employees as SEPTA deems necessary and appropriate to ensure the safety of its patrons, employees and property. These measures may include, but are not limited to, registration of all employees of the Buyer and its subcontractors who shall be working on SEPTA property, photo identification of all registered employees, and background investigations of all registered employees. In addition, SEPTA reserves the right to institute personnel security measures, which may be imposed at any time during the course of the Work. SEPTA shall assume the costs of such security measures. The Buyer and its employees shall cooperate fully with SEPTA in implementing and enforcing security measures on SEPTA property. The Buyer shall be notified by SEPTA, in writing, regarding what is required by SEPTA to carry out any personnel security measures that are being imposed on the Buyer.

Except as authorized by the General Manager (or designee) or expressly deemed exempt by virtue of the nature of their job in the course of their duties, no employee, buyer, agent, contractor, vendor, or other individual shall either use or possess any weapon while on SEPTA property or are otherwise in pursuit of SEPTA business. A weapon includes, but is not limited to, any firearm; explosive or incendiary device; blackjack sandbag; metal/brass knuckles; non-work-related knife, razor, or cutting instrument; or any other prohibited offensive weapon as defined under Section 908 of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code. (18 Pa. C.S. Section 908).
