McHenry County does not mail or ship items. Must call 24 to 48 hours ahead of time to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT for pick up. Pick up must be between 8:30 & 3:30 p.m. We are not open on holidays or weekends.
This auction is for a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LT 4-door Sedan. The engine starts with a boost, (be prepared to jump it with a jump pack. Jumper cables will not work), it runs, and is drivable. It was removed from service August 6, 2025. It was maintained every 3000 miles. The maintenance records are NOT available for inspection. Automatic transmission is operable. 2-wheel drive is in good condition. Exterior color is SILVER. No cracked glass. Minor dents, scratches, dings. Tire condition is good. Both rocker panels are rusted. Both front doors are rusted. Wheel lip moldings are rusted. There's a hole in the front bumper. Decals have been removed and impressions remain. There was no emergency equipment on this vehicle. Interior color is gray cloth. Seats have normal wear, but are dirty. Stock AM/FM CD radio. Air conditioning unknown if blows cold. Cruise Control. Tilt steering. Remote Mirrors, Climate Control. Power steering, windows, door locks.
NOTE: items must be picked up in-person ONLY! Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. McHenry County does not mail or ship items.

Payment

Removal
All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. If using a 3rd-Party Agent: The Buyer must provide the 3rd Party Agent with a copy of the “Buyer’s Certificate”, which must be brought with them to the pick-up. The Buyer must also provide the Seller with authorization via email to release the asset to the Third-Party Agent and provide the name and/or company name in the email. The 3rd Party Agent must show identification upon pick-up & sign the Bill of Sales. Please note that the County of McHenry assumes no responsibility for items that are picked up by 3rd Party Agents. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.
