- The motor is a Perkins 4 cylinder diesel model, HP35163N. It has electric start and is liquid cooled
- This equipment has not been used in more than six years.
- Dimensions are 20 feet wide x 54 feet long x 16 feet tall

THIS ITEM CANNOT BE LOADED ON A TRAILER WITH OUT BEING DISASSEMBLED. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DISASSEMBLY AND REMOVAL. WSU WILL NOT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH DISMANTLING OR EQUIPMENT FOR LOADING. PLEASE INSPECT THIS UNIT AND KNOW WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO DISASSEMBLE AND TO LOAD PRIOR TO BIDDING. SEE ATTACHED PURCHASE AND REMOVAL SPECIFICATIONS.

Removal

Washington State University (WSU) and the successful bidder (hereinafter Buyer) agree to the Terms and Conditions set forth herein concerning sale and removal of a mobile orchard work platform.

Equipment Description:WSU Surplus is offering for auction an experimental Mobile Orchard Work Platform. This is a custom-built unit for over the row mobile orchard tree maintenance. The orchard work platform was experimentally designed around a particular orchard row that is no longer being used, so it will not fit typical orchard rows. It has 10 work platforms that were used for pruning, picking and tree training. Each station can independently move up or down with hydraulics while on the platform. This work platform has 4 wheels, 2 are 23.1-26 and two are 21.5-16.1. The two larger wheels are driven by hydraulics. The motor is a Perkins 4-cylinder diesel model HP35163N. It has electric start and is liquid cooled. The Mobile Orchard Work Platform cannot be transported and must be dismantled and removed. Dimensions: 20 feet wide x 54 feet long x 16 feet tall. The Mobile Orchard Work Platform here-after referred to as “property”.

The property is located at the WSU Prosser Research & Extension Center, 24106 N. Bunn Rd., Prosser, Washington 99350. The property shall be removed in accordance with the terms and conditions listed in this document.

Buyer shall coordinate all removal activities, including hours of work and physical access to the property with the WSU Project Manager.

Terms and Conditions of Sale: In consideration of the price paid and opportunity to purchase, Buyer agrees as a term and condition of this sale to hold Washington State University (including its Regents, employees and agents) harmless and to indemnify WSU from all claims, costs and liabilities arising from damages or injuries to property or persons in connection with Buyer’s removal of the property.

Upon receipt of payment for the sale, buyer will schedule removal activities with the WSU Project Manager. Removal dates to be mutually agreed upon within five (5) days after acceptance of bid by WSU. Buyer will have fifteen (15) days to complete the removal process starting from the mutually agreed upon starting date. All costs of removal are the sole responsibility of Buyer. 100% of the pieces of the property must be removed. Should Buyer fail to remove the purchased property within the specified period, Buyer shall be considered in default without further notice.

Removal work and loading of equipment shall occur Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm; no party shall unreasonably withhold consent in ascertaining a mutually convenient date/time. Buyer has full responsibility for all removal and loading of property. WSU will not assist in removal of property and will not assist or provide equipment for loading of the property.

The description of the property given is based on the best available information, but WSU makes no guaranty, warranty, or representation of any kind, expressed, implied or otherwise, as to the quantity, kind, size, quality or description of the property, its fitness for any particular use or purpose or its merchantability, and no claim shall be considered for allowance or adjustment or for rescission of the sale based on failure to inspect the property or otherwise. The property is offered for sale to the highest bidder “as is, where is.”

WSU reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids in the best interests of the University.

All sales of surplus property are "as is," and the state takes no responsibility for and makes no guarantees with respect to items sold: Provided that the state shall make a statement of the condition of the merchandise, including major known defects, before sale. No sale shall be invalid due to defects discovered after sale which may have been discovered by a reasonable inspection of the property before sale.
