Condition: Fair
This lot consists of one (1) metal storage drum. The drum has been marked as being in fair condition due to evidence of prior use and cosmetic wear, including scratches consistent with handling and industrial service. Despite these signs of use, the drum appears structurally sound and ready for reuse.
This drum was previously used to store industrial propylene glycol. The contents have been emptied and the drum has been rinsed; however, prospective bidders should be aware that residual traces of propylene glycol may still be present within the container. Bidders should inspect and clean the drum as necessary prior to placing it into service.
The manufacturer of this drum is unknown. Two labels bearing the name "Brenntag" are present on the barrel. One label identifies the contents as industrial propylene glycol, while another reads "Brenntag Deposit Container." Brenntag is a known chemical supplier and distributor and is believed to have supplied the contents previously stored within the drum. No evidence was found confirming Brenntag as the manufacturer of the drum itself.
The drum features two (2) bung openings located on the top surface for filling and dispensing contents. One opening is smaller and utilizes coarse threads, while the second opening is larger and utilizes fine threads. Both bung fittings remain installed at the time of listing.
The exact capacity of this drum is unknown. However, the overall size and design are consistent with common industrial storage drums in the 50- to 55-gallon range. No manufacturer specifications were found to verify the exact volume.
While the exact model of this drum could not be determined, the following marking was observed and may assist prospective bidders in identifying the container:
