Customer Question: Hi I was wondering why the engine was inspected in the logbook when it has 0.0 TT hours. Did something happen to it, or was it dropped? On the other engine, which also has 72 TT hours, why was it inspected and disassembled with such low time on it? is that one log entry the only one? I am really interested in these but want to know more.

Per agency answer: We had an Airworthy Directive come out on the engine with 72 hours, we complied with the inspection and it passed. We found abnormal wear on the wrist pins that are connected to the pistons, we found the same problem with the engine with zero time. Teledyne asked us to return both engines as they were under warranty. The engines were then inspected by Teledyne and returned to us.
