Hello, do the laptops and workstations still have their CPU and RAM? If yes, what type of CPUs and amount of RAM is there? Thanks. 04/25/2026 18:01:07 PM
Below is the response from our IT staff: ChromeBooks have the memory and CPUs part of the motherboards and not sure you could separate them (even if you wanted to) without desoldering them. The hard drives are part of the motherboard. Nothing has been removed from these devices. Any PC laptops: CPUs I'm not certain if they could be separated, but memory typically can be. Both are still in the devices (only the hard drives removed). This would require the Service Tags (see my Sheets) and each looked up to get the exact type of CPU and exact amount of memory. The ST would then be pasted into https://www.dell.com/support/contractservices/en-us where it would give the exact specs for each ST (a ST is like a serial number and that Dell website can pull up the exact specs for each) 04/27/2026 10:04:30 AM
