The City of Peoria owns an enclosed steel building that measures 63' x 38' x 15' tall at its highest point, located at 1601 W Northmoor Rd, Peoria, IL 61614. The building is being sold as-is, where-is. There are incidental items affixed and contained in the building that are included in the sale. No guarantee is made to the condition of the building nor the items that are contained therein.
The building has a Butler Building badge, its age is unknown, and will require disassembly. The successful bidder will be responsible for all costs associated with dismantling, removal, transportation, and relocation of structure, including but not limited to labor, equipment, permits, insurance, and any other costs applicable from any laws and regulations concerning such type of work. Removal of the structure will be coordinated with the city and comply with applicable regulations.
Final sale is subject to a purchase contract between the Parties.

The City makes no representations regarding the condition of materials or components or suitability of structure for dismantling and relocating. City of Peoria strongly recommends inspecting the property prior to bidding. To set up an inspection of the building, please contact City attorney Max Walton at 309-216-0797. City staff will work as best as they can to find a time suitable for inspection with prospective bidder.
Payment

Removal
Property may be removed upon agreeable timeline with the city. It is expected that the property is removed promptly within 90 days of auction closing. It is expected that the building and all its contents are removed. The concrete slab under the structure shall not be removed.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided.
The City of Peoria understands estimated timeline depends on weather delays and is willing to be flexible with the successful bidder on removal time. Failure to remove the structure within the allotted timeframe may result in forfeiture of bid amount at the City's discretion. Successful bidder must provide proof of insurance prior to beginning of any dismantling or removal activities. A demolition permit will be required and applied for within 14 days of a successful bid. At a minimum, the buyer shall maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance for $1,000,000.00 per occurrence.
