Description

Used brass water meters. Mostly Neptune model T-10, the sizes can range from 5/8" to 2" meters which could have a few other brands. Most if not all of the ¾” x 5/8” meter bottoms are plastic. There may be a few larger meters that may have cast bottoms. These meters are contained in wooden crates with a pallet base, and approximately @ 32” wide (x) 40” long (x) 30” high. The weight of the crates is included in the weight stated below. This lot includes (4) crates:

Crate #1: 1,690 lbs
Crate #2: 1,600 lbs
Crate #3: 1,740 lbs
Crate #4: 1,682 lbs

Total weight: 6,712 lbs

The average weight of each wooden pallet is ~ 55-65 lbs. CWS can provide a forklift & driver to load the crates! CWS can assist with loading, but the winner MUST sign a standard GovDeals waiver, in advance of pick-up, which relieves CWS from any liability in the case of a mishap whilst assisting on CWS property. No exceptions.

Q & A

Have a question or looking to schedule an appointment?

  • Looks like you have a mixture trying to find out if you have any steel bottoms for all brass bottoms are they all clean water meters because you’re auction is ending in four days and the price they’re at with tax and fees to go deals. It’s right at scrap. I’m trying to figure out what’s going on here. Thanks. 03/12/2026 09:40:47 AM

Most if not all of the ¾” x 5/8” meter bottoms are plastic, there may be a few larger meters that may have cast bottoms. They are considered used meters, as for the reuse of these water meters, it is up to the discretion of the bidders as we are not legally or obligated to determine or state that these can be reused. This is why we name these scrap meters because are no longer being used in our system and we do not know if they can be reused. 03/12/2026 10:40:32 AM
