This truck was originally owned by the Saint Matthews Fire Department in Kentucky. It then went to the training academy at Louisville FD before they sold it to us.

We were told that it is common practice for the tow companies to use the seat belt to wrap the steering wheel in order to transport the vehicle. We have tilled the apparatus everywhere, if someone in the back holds the steering wheel straight the entire time you simply have a tractor trailer at that point. Will upload more pictures of the engine/transmission. The cab does not tilt, the motor is very accessible in the rear doghouse area. 05/11/2026 14:51:29 PM
What was the estimate to repair the outrigger? Does it have a generator and cord reels? When was the last aerial certification it had? Other than the outrigger issue, are there any other known mechanical issues with it? Does it have a current state inspection? 05/10/2026 21:52:33 PM
Outrigger repair: have not gotten an estimate. We were going to dig a pit to be able to remove it and have it built by the hydraulic shop that did the pump and hoses, but we ended up purchasing a newer ladder truck so we did not proceed. No generator, you would need to install a gas one on the slide out. There are two electric cord reels, one on each side that are 150' long. Pictures being added. I am not aware of any other mechanical issues with the truck. It starts and drives well. Was being used this week for driver training. State inspection: those are not performed on emergency vehicles in TN. 05/11/2026 14:04:41 PM
