Correct, this engine will pull a draft and flow 1500 gpm from a static water source, but when held to the standard of a dry leak down test it leaked down 20 inches of Hg over 5 minutes. This engine was never outfitted with hard suction and never tasked with drafting in rural operations which, I'm sure, is the reason this was never addressed. The tech who services it thinks new intake valve seals would remedy this, but the truck is being offered with caps on the 6" intakes, not valves. 04/20/2026 09:57:59 AM
