I am first time bidding on a Tax Lien Certificate Sale. I understand the interest rate is 0.25% + 5%. Please confirm the online information: "Interest Yield: The winning investor receives the certificate and earns interest at the bid rate until the property owner pays the outstanding taxes. Florida law guarantees a minimum return of 5% on the certificate unless it is auctioned at 0%. The accrued interest is taxable and reported to the IRS." if you win the auction you will own the lien. If the property owner doesn't pay their taxes by the maturity date, you can take the property to tax deed sale. If you are the high bidder you will get deed to the property and own the property. 01/23/2026 17:22:06 PM

If you win, the lien will be assigned into your name. If the lien doesn't redeem, you will file a tax deed application, which is where you will have to pay all unpaid taxes. Interest would be 18%. Foreclosure process can start once maturity date ends. 01/29/2026 14:09:26 PM
