Inspection

Payment

All dollar figures are stated in U.S. Dollars. The vehicle is being sold, for one lump sum on an AS-IS, WHERE-IS basis. Payment terms are prepaid prior to the removal of the vehicle from City property. Payments are to be made by check, cashier's check or money order and payable to “City of Woonsocket“ and mailed or delivered in person to: Woonsocket City Hall Attention: Purchasing Agent 169 Main St. Woonsocket, RI 02895

Removal

Property is to be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. The location of the vehicle is at the Woonsocket Fire Department, located at 5 Cumberland Hill Road, Woonsocket, RI 02895. Pick up times are Monday through Friday between the hours of 8a.m. and 2p.m. excluding holidays. As a condition the buyer must: A. Remove the vehicle within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. B. Make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance by the City will be provided. C. Remove the vehicle safely and in accordance with applicable local, state and federal highway and transportation requirements. D. Provide the necessary equipment, tools and labor to clean the work area post removal if required. E. Be responsible for any individual that may accompany the winning bidder, that is on City property, and is properly trained and/or licensed for the task they are performing. F. Be responsible for taking any and all necessary reasonable fire safety precautions at all times. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged if the vehicle is not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” (Seller) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
